Our impact
Since 2008 we have grown from a startup company into a well-established, reputable industry partner. We demonstrated the scalability and marketability of our silk technology through the sale of our cosmetic business unit to Givaudan in 2019. In the same year, we launched the world’s first textile product based on spider silk fibers together with our partner Omega. In 2020 the AMSilk silk coating used in Polytech silicone breast implants was successfully tested in an international clinical study of silk-coated medical implants.
