The AMSilk technology enables the creation of new functional high-tech materials, based on biopolymers. These materials are to be applied in numerous fields to improve existing products or to develop materials for completely new applications, which could not be realized until now due to the lack of an appropriate material. AMSilk is specialized in high quality and high value market segments and relies on cooperations with companies along the value chain.

AMSilk will further establish the development and large-scale production of spider silk proteins. AMSilk will generate a comprehensive product portfolio through its own development and through joint development with specific partners or customers. Silk proteins are always manufactured to meet the desired specifications.

The spider silk production requires no fossil fuel - based reagents and is environmentally friendly.
