AMSilk GmbH honored by Minister of State Huber
Axel H. Leimer, Managing Director AMSilk GmbH, accepts certificate signed by the President of Germany
Munich, March 25, 2011 – AMSilk GmbH was counted among the 47 prize winners in the national competition “365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas”. At a reception in the Bavarian State Office, Minister of State Dr. Marcel Huber congratulated the participants for excelling in innovation and enterprise in Germany. In order to further encourage this innovative power and bring it into the public light, the nation-branding initiative “Germany – Land of Ideas”, together with the Deutsche Bank, have supported the nationwide competition “365 Selected Landmarks” since 2006.
Minister of State Dr. Marcel Huber congratulated AMSilk GmbH for their achievements in Bavaria and presented the company with a certificate signed by German President Christian Wulff, patron of the competition. Huber praised the prize winners as being “the innovative power of the future and an important engine for the strengthening of international competitiveness and the further development of our country. Our free state lives through the creativity of its people. Good ideas, openness to innovation and creative passion are at home in Bavaria. Bavaria is a Land of Ideas!”
“Being selected as a prize winner in the competition “365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas” is a mark of quality in every aspect. The great inventiveness and passion of the “Selected Landmarks” make visible Bavaria’s innovation and provide important momentum for our future. We are happy to award this year’s prize winners in all their variety,” congratulated Stephan Jugenheimer from the Deutsche Bank in Munich.
During the course of the year, the competition’s prize winners will present their ideas to the public. In addition, a national winner will be honored in each of the six competition categories: Business, Science, Environment, Culture, Education and Community. A public winner will also be chosen for the first time.
