Axel H. Leimer, M.B.S.

Managing Director

Before joining AMSilk as Managing Director, Mr. Leimer operated his own consulting business and was Investment Advisor for Future Capital AG, Frankfurt, Germany. As a consultant he has supported the start-up and financing of several biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Mr. Leimer has spent 17 years in the US working for leading biotech companies in research, research management and business development and for a national bank. Mr. Leimer has a BA and a Master Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado.

Dr. Lin Römer

Head Research and Development

Dr. Römer has been leading the application and market-driven development of spider silk into products at the Technische Universität München and the University of Bayreuth. As project manager and staff scientist at the university, he has been the key to transferring academic achievements into marketable products. Dr. Römer received his diploma of chemistry with focus on biochemistry from the University of Marburg and his PhD from the Technische Universität München. In 2008 he joined AMSilk as Head of Research and Development.
